REVIEW
Without
a chance of framing, some anglers didn't show for the last
match. This resulted in some sections contained less anglers
than others. Although it seems this had little or no impact,
the overall scores could have be effected. Rolf has addressed
this situation and next year the final day may offer up an
individual 'Special' prize. It seems that sportsmanship is
still not as strong as her indoors nagging on a Bank Holiday
Monday? and no one can blame anyone to giving in to that!.
Moaning
aside the final day fished a little better, even though the
strong and cool easterly remained a nuisance. The Carp had
pushed into the car park bank and it was these pegs that dominated
the frame with Peg 14 also putting in an appearance. Again,
most carp were taken off the top over spayed pellet fished
between 20cm and 1m deep. Dave Wightman pushed himself into
overall second with a day winning weight of 170-12-0, but
could do little with M McDermott's consistency who took third
place on the day with 136lb and ran out overall festival winner.
Drawn on Pegs 19, 8 and 14 he took close to 360lb of carp
over the 3 days.
A
Personal thanks from Rolf goes out to Mark Sawyer - Van Den
Eynde - for arranging the VDE sponsorship for this event.
Also he asked me to give his thanks to those regular faces
helping at the weigh-in.

Mark
Sawyer - Peg 26 - Well on his way to 141-00-0
