After another league series the trio of Phil Powell, Mick Lane and John Bennett, fishing as Rolfs Team Gold again won another league series using their local lake knowledge and ability of all round methods.
In the most closely fought series ever, going into the final round the top four teams all had a chance of victory as they were only separated by 6 points, but when RTG drew pegs 40, 13 and 24 and also played their final joker the other teams knew they were up against it, and after 5 hours returned a total of 21 points and secured another league title.

Individually it was a very good match as there were 6 x 100lb weights and one 200lb weight which was great considering the anglers had a tough day with swirling winds and rain and the river was flooding into the lake which rose 6 inches during the match.
In first place today was Phil Powell who was fishing inform peg 24, and who had an enjoyable day fishing the feeder using pellet fishing corn, casting to the bar just short of half way ,catching fish to 12-00 in his very good weight of 224-00 and a very deserved win.
In second place was Ron Allan who was fishing next to Phil on peg 26 and fished the same method and bait but was playing catch-up all match {and fell 50lb short of the winning weight} but also had a good day with his weight of 171-00. Completing the frame was D Rudman who was also on the car park bank and fished a combination of feeder and short pole ,fishing corn feeding pellet for his weight of 141-00.
