Rolfs' Diary 2007
Wednesday Open Summer '07 This Wednesday was witness to the return of the Rolfslake Wednesday Opens and with it the first big Ton Up weight for a while. Fisherman's Friend Matchman Colin Wedgebrow took a fine 177lb+ from Peg 24 for a deserved match win and another top spot for the midlands based angler at the Oxfordshire match fishing complex.
Bill Galt - Fisherman's Friend Phil Powell made up the best of the rest with 84lb+ from the rebuilt peg 22, which is set to feature well over the coming summer. All of the top 4 took the fish shallow with bread baits over sprayed pellet. With plenty of fish moving in the spring sunshine, regular feed was the key to keeping fish coming to the landing net. The opens will continue to run until the end of the summer and anyone interested in booking should give Rolf a ring - full details on the Calendar page. The matches will feature a 1pm Draw and fish from 2pm 'til 7pm.
