With good news that Rolf was feeling a little better and that he might be leaving hospital in the near future, it was maybe a good omen that today was due to be a nice and sunny. The attendance today was lower than normal as some of the anglers had just returned from White Acres and were unavailable for this match.
Today's pegging was mainly on the motorway bank as most of the good weights had come from this side over the last few matches, and anglers were looking for pegs 4 ,8 ,9 ,and 16 as all these pegs have some kind of feature to fish to, and currently hold lots of fish at the moment.
Today after again arriving late, I had Colin Wedgebrow on peg 18 as my company for the day, and by the time I had set up Colin was already 7 fish up and a tough day lay ahead.

In first place today was Fishermans Friends sponsored angler Colin Wedgebrow who was fishing peg 18 and fished a very simple plan today, the bush to the left at 6 mtr's and the bush to the right at a range of 3 mtr's. Colin fished mainly the bush to his right just on the ledge, using a John Walker 1 gram float and used a combination of hard 11mm banded pellet, and corn hookbait's, and again feeding very heavy 6-8 bags of feed pellets to keep the fish there.
Halfway through the match Colin had the same problem as i had ,which was with the sun low and in your eyes you could not see the float, so Colin went off for a walk for half an hour but still won the match with 237-08. In second place was John Walker, who was fishing peg 6 and fished at a range of 6 mtr's and down the margins and used a combination of corn and big pellet, feeding about two bags of feed pellets for his weight of 188-04. In third place and very close to John was John Cowling who was fishing in-form peg 4, John fished down the edge fishing pellet and feeding pellet to weigh in 182-12 and a new personal best {well done John}
