Rolfs' Diary 2007
Spring League Match 5 of 6 Plenty of decent weights today in the 5th match of the 6 match Spring League at Rolfslake. Team SPRO had a complete nightmare with only 4 points in total, effectively handing the league title to Rolfs Team Gold. Heavy rains greeted the anglers at the draw and didn't let up much during the day. We've had that much rain in the last few days - Rolfs was spotted today collecting small animals 2 by 2 and placing them in his little white boat!
Match Winner - Ginger Ginger enjoyed the rain, during the heaviest downpours the Fisherman's Friend matchman had a number of purple patches that boosted his return to an arm aching 261lb 12oz. Fishing at 15m+ and spraying pellet can be one of the hardest methods, given the heavy rain and general 'pour' conditions (sorry for the pun) Ginger ran out as a popular and much deserved winner. Rolfs Team Gold Captain, John Bennett, took 208lb 4oz from Peg 34 for second place overall. In total there were 2 by 200lb+ weights and 9 by 100lb+ weights. There are plenty of places left in the Summer League for any teams of 3 wishing to join in with the Ton Up bagging at Rolfs - Give Rolf a Call. RESULTS POSTED JUST HOURS AFTER THE MATCH
