Today saw a good attendance for the Sunday open as anglers practiced for the next round of the winter league. The weather was cool ,with a breeze blowing from the big lake to the small lake. Most anglers wanted to be in the calmer water around pegs 16 round to 23 as there were lots of fish seen in this area.

In first place today was in-form angler Frank Wedgebrow who had been on a good run recently and being on peg 16 today was not going to disappoint him. Frank today fished an open end feeder filled with soft pellet and bread hookbait to catch most of his fish, fishing with a hook length between 1 and 3 feet at a distance of 15 mtrs. As the the bites dried up Frank fished the bush to his left fishing corn and pellet to catch fish to double figures in his final weight of 204-08 and a deserved win.

In second place and next to Frank on peg 18 was Fishermans Friends angler Bill Galt ,who has drawn this peg a few times recently like 5 times, so setting up was not going to take long. Bill fished towards peg 19 along the big bush, fishing at depth using a combination of corn and banded pellet to catch fish to 14lb in his weight of 176-08. Completing the frame was Alan Beet who was Bills travelling partner, and a first time visitor to Rolfslake , who was fishing peg 22 and who fished long 12mtrs along the big bush to his right using corn and pellet 4mm for a weight of 99-14 and nearly his first ton weight {well done Alan}.
