Wednesday Open - Rolfs' Brief
Yet again a surprise winning peg for the Wednesday Open at Rolfslake. Ginger drew Peg 40, and to be far, wouldn't have fancied his chances too much from the corner peg in the shallow lake - based up recent results.
John Bennett - Fishing Peg 8
Fishing a small cage feeder with pellet feed and luncheon meat hook baits Ginger kept a number of Carp to mid double figures interested with a winning return of 157lb 04oz.
The weather was far from friendly with heavy showers drifting in and out throughout the 5 hour afternoon/early evening match. Backing weights were in proportion with the winning weight, John Bennett making up the best of the rest with a challenging 143lb 12oz from peg 8 and Phil Powell nudging the 130lb mark from Peg 37 for 3rd place and the last Ton plus weight of the day.

Feeder was key for COLW on Peg 7. Fished tight to the far bank, plenty of fish kept the Total-Fishing Matchman busy for most of the day.

Ian Takes his time with a fine 17lb 4oz Carp. Ian drew fancied peg 32 but the peg failed to produce the goods.

Total-Fishing
Nik looks across the lake as he unhooks a fine 15lb+ Common. Like most of the Total Fishing matchmen, Nik enjoyed some good fishing with plenty of fish to mid double figures.
