Rolfs' Diary 2006
Kinloch Angling Club
Rolf continues to fight against the elements that have dropped the oxigen levels in the lake over the last week. As a result he has need to keep the pumps on during the day which always draws a few fish into the flows, as it does with all commercials.
Easy Does It Even with the pumps on the fish seemed more than content to just cruise around in the unseasonal warm temeratures and had little intent of really feeding. Fred Harrison took advantage from peg 10 by fishing shallow at just 7m with pellet and bread to ambush 131lb 14oz of Carp to double figures for a fine match win. Terry Staines fished identical tactics at peg 40 for 92lb 12oz and runners up spot. Paul Woodley and Colin Manning made up the 'best of the rest' with 70lb 6oz and 69lb 4oz respectively from pegs 13 and 7. Fish expected to settle as the weather gets back to normal over the coming week. Pellet both Hard and Soft expected to score well as the water cools in the autumn evenings. |
