Rolfs' Diary 2006
Wednesday Open . Again cool temperatures kept the weights down this week but it didn't dampen the enjoyment the anglers took from the Wednesday Open at Rolfslake this week. Colin Wedgebrow continued his match winning form and recorded a rare win for Peg 4 too.
Once again, Colin fished hard 8mm Pellet over plenty of loose fed offerings of 4 and 6mm sinking pellet for his match winning 192lb 8oz. Team mate (Fisherman's Friend) Bill Golttook the runners up brown envelope with a fine 181lb 8oz but lost the bragging rights to team mate by just 1lb. Rob will tell you he put a few back just to keep Colin happy. Elsewhere, fished well with plenty of weights over 100lb - although the weights were down on the massive returns of recent weeks, the match was much tighter with all the top 7 in contention until the last few moments of the alloted 5 hours. Please Note: the League Matches are now 12pm Draw |
