Summer League Day 2 of 6
The Big weights continued for the Summer League Teams of 3 series, which is now into it's day 2 of 6, and Local Rolfslake Team Diamond Mike Stimson took full advantage of Peg 37 by fishing under the empty platform of peg 38 for a fine match win. Mike took a number of fish into double figures in his return of 233lb 8oz.
Neil Butterworth The Carp bonanza starred mostly in the main body of the small lake, pegs 34, 36, 37 and peg 4 who took 215lb 194lb, 233lb and 203lb respectively - spare a thought for Ricky Haines from Fisherman's Friend A who took 194lb for 4th in section of 6, or even Stuart Joy (Throw Backs) who took 58lb 4oz's for a plumb last in section. Rolfs Team Gold managed to hang on to a long run of match wins with the continued good form of Phil, John and Mick - all 3 anglers have been hard to beat on since the turn of the year and/or introduction of the Leagues. With Fisherman's Friend already 8 points behind the early league leaders, it's hard to see anyone catching them; although this is fishing and we all know anything can happen? |
