Vespe Sponsored - Open Match

Having arranged a Saturday Open match at Rolfslake and organized the match to be backed by is own individual Sponsor (Vespe) Pete Archer drew peg 34 and proceeded to take the best part of 300lb for a good win!

After a slow start for everyone the fish eventually switched on around the lake with about 2 hours to go. From here on in it was a sprint to the final 'air horn' as 9 anglers returned weights greater than 133lb. Gary Kelsey on Peg 4 fished the match of his life and recorded his first Ton plus weight - Trust me Gary, if you continue fishing Rolfs you'll soon bank your first Double Ton too!

Phil Powell kept up his top form with a runners up spot at Peg 32 with 227lb and finished narrowly ahead of Ginger on 37 with 201lb - both fished shallow with sprayed pellet, although Ginger switched to fishing in front of 38 for most of his fish later in the match.
