Rolfs' Diary 2006
Rob Kite added to a number of 300lb+ winning weights with yet another win in a Wednesday Open at Rolfslake. Drawn on peg 30, Rob fished paste just over and on the ledge next to the hedge on the right hand side on his peg. Feeding by hand and make a good slosh with good pellet helpings kept the fish coming as they got their heads down towards the end of the match.
Cameron Symms and Bill Galt kept up a run of good results too with 247lb 8oz and 160lb 12oz for 2nd and 3rd individual respectively. Eddy Taylor Green took a number of big double which featured a brace of 19lb fish - again Rob Kite topped the day on the lumps too with a 20lb fish - when it's your day..... Elsewhere, fish seem to be going of the paste in all but a few pegs. The good news is that they are taking pellet well and are still wanting a decent amount of feed. Change baits such as luncheon meat will take big weights in the coming weeks too. Expect the little lake to produce fewer big weights as the temperatures cool off. Please Note: the League Matches are now 12pm Draw |
