Saturday - Specimen Report
Matt Bass took a near 8lb Chub from Rolfs' Lake this afternoon whilst fishing for Carp, the Monster was taken on a Sauce Boiler fished over a big bed of particle feeds. With plenty of the big doubles putting in an apprearance it was no suppirse that a sreaming run drew the attention of of Matt who presumed annother decent Carp had taken his bait, these are Matts' words: "It was a screaming run fooling me into thinking it was a another carp. However it came straight towards me, diving under the bank before surfacing. I saw it was a chub but estimated it at aroung 5lb. When I lifted it from the water I got a shock, it was really deep and wide,a lovely young looking fish in perfect condition. The fish was weighed at 7lb15oz,before Rolf was called. The fish was weighed again on Rolfs scales to confirm the weight, photographed and returned to grow into a record."
