Rolfs' Diary 2006

Wednesday Open
6th Sept 2006

The Big News today was that Colin Wedgebrow drew Peg 34 and didn't win the Match..... but as it was a Wednesday the lake did fish very well all the same.

Rolfs Lake Match Winner

(front to back) Phil, Richard and Cameron

The match winner today was Rob Kite (Good Hope AC) who had drawn in from Peg 4 and got his head down to fish 4m Paste for a brilliant 308lb from the corner peg in the little lake.

Cameron Simms, drawn opposite Rob on Peg 38 took runners up spot with 238lb 8oz by fishing a 6m with soft hookers over loose fed pellet - mostly a mix of squid and liver and Chocolate Orange - which seems to be working very well at the moment in pulling the fish in close for big weights!

Mick Lane (Rolfslake) made up the last of double Tons from peg 10 fishing similar tactics to Cameron, again on soft hooker baits. The lake once again fished very, very well, with anglers recording Ton Plus weights from most pegs. What else did you expect - it's a Wednesday!

Please Note: the League Matches are now 12pm Draw
