Spring League Day 6 of 6
Rolfslake Team Gold have won the league and never looked like anything other than winners from day 1. The team fished well to a plan and got the jump on most of the other teams by fishing worm over pellet - which was a best kept secret until the bait lost it's effectiveness in the later matches of the series. Until then the likes of John Bennett and Mick Lane were almost unbeatable... Today's section winners all had good individual leagues and was a fitting result that Mick Lane won todays match with a fine 290lb. With a number of double tons and a smattering of tons the lake continues to improve following a very hard spring of unsettled weather. Section Winners A. Mick Lane (Rolfs Team Gold) 290lb B. At the time I was away on a cricket tour of the South West and I've struggled to keep up with the updates on this and some of my other sites.
