Peg 4- 249lb
"High Pressure and going slow, well slowish! "
Rolf rang me up tonight and reported that the lake had fished hard due to the high pressure and high temperatures. In the next sentance he declared that Neil Reed had won the match with 249lb from Peg 4 with a catch that had included 100lb of 'weighers.' Rolf proceeded to read out the results down to 6th place where Russel Alexander (GOT Baits) had taken 142lb... " I reckon the lakes fished OK Rolf" I replied. "Do you think so?" Rolf replied.... I think Rolf needs to have a look at some of the other results from up and down the Carp puddles this weekend. I'm sure not many will have 109lb in 9th place.

Neil Reed
(Rolfslake)
A new personal best for Neil with a netbusting 249lb from Peg 4. |
Neil took his fish close to the bank on mostly pellet and added to the steady flow with a number of fish taken off the top at 14m directly in front of his peg. GOT Baits anglers made up 2nd, 3rd and 4th with Kevin Arathoon top of the chasing pack with 187lb 8oz from Peg 23, Gary Thorpe and Mick Wilkinson made up the rest of the frame.
A few fish being taken on paste but hard pellet up in the water still out scoring the seasonal favourite at the moment. |
