Friday 10th June - Total Fishing

'Breakthrough Breast Cancer' Charity Match

Steve May
(TOTAL FISHING)
Peg 34 64lb 4oz

Fishing was not up to the normal standard for the TOTAL FISHING (www.total-fishing.com) Charity match held to raise monies for Breast Cancer Research. I've been told, although yet to be confirmed, that well over £1500 was raise on the day (anyone knows the exact figure? I'd like to post the correct amount!)

Steve May made the best of a bad day by fishing close to the edge on Peg 34 to snag a few fish on pellet baits. With the fish blowing everywhere and spawning anywhere, it was always going to be next to impossible to even temp a bite. Neil Powell took a few to challenge Steve but finished just one fish short just over 60lb from Peg 2. Neil also took advantage of the inside cover at his peg to take the fish tight to the bank.

Clive Sluter (Organiser)

Clive is seen here playing to the crowd that had taken root during the day..

Elsewhere, the fish spawned today... Not much else of any relevance to report, which is a shame given the effort from the organiser's of the event and the support from the anglers. Well done to all.
