Sunday 6th March 2005 - Open Match

Gary Thorpe
(GOT Baits)
Peg 15 - 30lb

"If it gets any colder we'll be fishing for penguins!"

Freezing temperatures and an influx of additional ice water dropped temperatures and match weights alike in the Sunday Open at Rolfslake. GOT Baits matchman Gary Thorpe produced the best weight on the day with 30lb from the consistent peg 15. Maggot & Caster proved to be the key to most of the success around the lake as even the Silver Fish refused to feed.

With Peg 24 out of the way, Gary made do with Peg 15.... ummm.

Ian Pretty topped the list of also ran's with a respectable 24lb from Peg 24! Stan produced two fish on Caster for 21lb to nudge Steve Rowe in 4th with 20lb 4oz from peg 25. Going into the last half hour it was anyone's match, but in the end I guess the weather was the only winner today?

PICTURE REVIEW

Ian Pretty
MK Sensas

Runner Up from Peg 24. Took bragging rights on team mate Steve from next peg!

Stan Robak
Ton Up Baits

Stan lands a 13lb lump from peg 16. His 2 caster fish went 21lb.

Steve Rowe
MK Sensas

Steve gave team mate Ian a good run for his money from the next peg, unfortunately Steve finished just 1 fish short of his bragging rights.
