Red Lion Club Match

J Price
(Vuaxhall)
Peg 13 - 141lb 4oz

"A reduced number of peg to accommodate the Red Lion Club Match "

The lake fished well for the visit of The Red Lion club. J Price (Vauxhall) took a match winning 141lb 4oz from Peg 13 for an unpredicted raid of the top coin from an out of sorts peg.

Rolfs Lake Match Winner

G Coles
(Red Lion)

A top weight from Peg 21 on the day - 113lb was an unlucky 5th.

J Clennett and K Chadua (Red Lion) contested for 2nd and 3rd from peg 23 and 26 respectively. J Clennett won the day for runners up spot with a fine 129lb fishing shallow at 14m to a number of decent fish. Mr Chadua fished paste close to the bush for his 123lb 10oz.

Fishing continues to be slow at the start. However, building on you weight seems to be key. Take one fish at a time and be committed to the tactic you have chosen. It's better to fish the wrong tactic well than 3 or 4 badly. For an alternative try feeding a higher number of small expander pellet and cut back the 4mm sinkers. This may get a few extra paste fish and keep the Carp interested in feeding a little longer.
