Peg 32 - 216lb
"Slow start for most as fish fail to feed in first 2 hours "
It took the best part of 2 hours for the fish to start to feed properly at Rolfs Lake this Saturday. Dean Tennant (Preston Innovations) on Peg 32 attacked the peg with plenty of feed down the edge and at 7m. Following a busy last 3 hours, Dean returned a winning 216lb from the peg that holds the lake record for a 3.5 hour match at some 437lb. It was the holder of that record that Dean managed to hold off into 2nd place. Today drawn at Peg 23, Gary Thorpe (GOT Baits) sprayed 4mm pellet at 15m to take fish shallow for a net busting 172lb 4oz.

Peg 32 can be dead or deadly. Today it was the latter for Double Ton Up Dean Tennant. |
Elsewhere, Bernie Fraser (TUB) continued his good form both at the draw bag and on Peg 37 with 147lb 8oz. Peg 37 is quickly becoming a favorite of Bernie's. Team mate Russell Alexander took an above average weight from average Peg 17 to nick the last place in the main coin with a cool 135lb. Eddy Taylor Green took 90lb to finish in 11th place - just one of Norman Youlden's fish would have boosted Eddy to 6th as Norman took fish to 22lb from Peg 15.
