Mark Bowerman fished on the deck with maggot and caught late in the match to win the Sunday Open at Rolfslake with 83lb 12oz. Like most around him, Mark struggled for bites in the early stages of the match. With the temperature once again taking a turn for the worse, high winds hampered good presentation. Having found the deepest part of the peg, Mark fished at the base of the 'bar' for the most of the match. Mark switched to maggot in an attempt to find a few fish and the last hour the fish started to move in. At one stage Mark 'pulled' out of few - as can be the case when the bites are shy and the going is slow.

Stan Robak (TUB) and Trevor Price (GOT Baits) had a good contest for second spot. Stan took advantage of having fished the peg the week before by once again going for a walk whilst winning the match. Again, Stan returned to find the Carp waiting but fell just 3lb short of winning. (Stan has a bad back and has to stretch during the match - shame). Trev was pleased with 3rd in his first visit to Rolf's in a number of months.
