One of the form anglers at Rolfslake right now is Swindon Tackle backed matchman John Bennett, with a string of good double tons from Peg 23 the Swindon angler seemed doomed to draw Peg 23 for the rest of the summer. However, Drawn on fancied big weight peg 34, John never looked back from the draw bag and set about amassing a HUGE 341lb 12oz - the 9 highest of all time at Rolfslake. John fished his trusted paste in a short line and as with most anglers fed 4 and 6mm pellet over the top for his net busting return.
I would love to have be able to write John up for a better review, however, I was 8000 miles away at the time and picked up the results retrospectively and as of yet have not been able to talk to John on the how's and why's. I apologise for the late posting on the web site. As of the 19th Aug 04 I am back and normal service will resume with results posting in most cases just hours after the match. Many Thanks. Lloyd.

Still - Solid on most pegs. Paste at 6m or Pellet up in the water at 10-14m for weights to 300lb PLUS. Don't forget extra keepnet's.

(On a point of note from Rolf - It has been noticed that some elastics have been wound up too tight and he would like to remind all that Elastics must be in both the top No1 and No2 joints and allow a reasonable amount of stretch. Anyone taking liberties will be immediately shot .....only kidding. but at minimum you will be immediately banned from using that top set and may risk disqualification under for breaching the fishery rules. Come on Guys play the game ... Many Thanks, Rolf)
Did
you fish this match and I've missed out (or messed up!) some of the details?
