You Don't need many of these for 100lb

Charity Match
£2000 Raised for the NSCCP

Organised by Gary Boweren & Chris Couch.

With the forecasted bad weather no where to be seen, it was bright sunshine and plenty of bites for those Anglers raising money for the NSCCP at Rolfslake on Bank Holiday Monday. In total over £2000 was gathered by those present for a very worthy charity.

Although everyone turned out to be winners, In the Match it was Perry Stone who came out top with at Total of 159lb 4oz from Peg 30

Perry Stone
159lb 4oz Peg 30

Fished up in the water at 14/16m over sprayed pellet for Carp into double figures. A run of fouled hooked fish cost Perry in both lost time and spooked fish and on reflection his weight may have been much higher.

Pete Salmon
152lb 6oz Peg 27

With the Peg carrying some form over from yesterday's match, Pete Salmon found plenty of fish at Peg 27 on the 16m line with similar shallow tactics to Perry. The key was constant and heavy feeding to keep the 'masses' interested.

Elsewhere

Paul Couch on Peg 4 fished tight against the bank for 111lb 4oz on his first time using a pole, Paul fished Pellets baits and took Carp to 12lb. Fish have finished spawning for now and are showing signs of feeding well. Few fish starting to come to paste. Noted pegs fishing well with weights elsewhere for those willing to slog it out up in the water with sprayed pellet. Expect to feed in excess of 6 pts of Pellet - At Least.

Winner

Perry Stone Peg 30 159-03

Lost count of the fouled hooked fish up in the water! Fished just 1ft deep at 16m and sprayed pellet for his 159lb return.

John Weedon at Rolfslake

Runner Up

Mark Harrington Peg 8 150-00

Not a bad peg to draw in summer. Mark enjoyed a days sport on the noted hot spot but fell just one fish short of a match win.

The 'Couches'

All Three enjoyed a good day at Rolfslake.

.

Les Boweren

Won the competition for the longest landing net handle.

.Steve Liston

Gary Mason Peg 32 103-01

A good Ton for Gary.

Rolfslake - Ton Up Baits Angler Bernie Fraser

Paul Staniford

Get in there my son! Yet another Ton, this time for Paul on Peg 17.

Alf Burt

Didn't make the frame but got his elastics pulled all the same.

Stuart Angel

Peg 13 was far from unlucky for Stuart with yet another Ton.
