Match Winner - John Hague

I could not be more pleased with result of today's match at Rolfslake. John Hague has been making the journey from the West Midlands each weekend for what seems like ages now. To date he has drawn all sorts of pegs, some good and some not so good, but he has always walked to and from the pegs with a positive attitude and with one thing in his mind - "I must learn something" ... and this he has done and proved himself a very competitive matchman on the way. Under the guidance of the likes of Trevor Price from Ton up Baits the West Midland angler started to turn his results this month with a few framing places and the odd section win.

I guess it was poetic that he held off the challenge today from Trevor to win with an impressive return close to 300lb. It was only last week that I highlighted a good bag was on the cards for John. I must buy another one of those crystal balls..

(On a point of note from Rolf - It has been noticed that some elastics have been wound up too tight and he would like to remind all that Elastics must be in both the top No1 and No2 joints and allow a reasonable amount of stretch. Anyone taking liberties will be immediately shot .....only kidding. but at minimum you will be immediately banned from using that top set and may risk disqualification under for breaching the fishery rules.
