Pete Coxhead
(Windsor Angling Centre)
183lb Peg 32
Drawn on the form peg of the weekend, Peg 32, Pete Coxhead powered his way to a win with 183lb of paste caught fish. Pete fished paste over pellet on two lines - One very close to a small bush next to the bank on his left and a second line on the drop off at 5m towards Peg 9 (on the opposite bank.) By plundering both lines Pete kept the fish coming and consequently finished just 2lb ahead of the chasing pack. A well deserved match win and an average of close to 180lb for this two matches this weekend.
Incidentally, in the two open matches this weekend a total of 30 weights over 100lb were hauled to the scales as the Carp went on a Paste frenzy in most many pegs. The fish remain well distributed around the lake and a framing weight is possible from most pegs.
Kevin Arathoon
(Isis)
181lb Peg 17
Fishing a short 6m line over paste on Peg 17 fell just 2lb short of a match win for Isis star Kevin Arathoon. Kevin fed 4mm pellet and fished large lumps of paste on the hook for his 181lb. In cooler temperatures than recent matches, more Carp seemed to home in on the Paste offerings but Dog Roach continue to accept the huge offerings much to the annoyance of the anglers. Alternate baits such as Meat fished tight to the banks worth a look in the later stages of the match.
Other returns included a 154lb 8oz weight from Ton Up Baits matchman Stan Robak on Peg 19. Stan fished to the right of the new gravel bar at 6m on paste for his fish.
Mark
Biegaski
Wombwell
Fished big lumps of paste in the margins at Peg 7 for a close to 150lb return.
Dave Stratful
Prestwood & District
Had a good weekend at the draw bag. Pegs 3 & 4 kept him in the frame. All the same Dave did well to convert the good draws into framing weights.
Gary Thorpe
Ton Up Baits
For a change Gary didn't catch a ton!
Tony Taylor
Anchor
Tony hangs onto a good Carp. However, he eventually didn't quite make the leader board this weekend.

Struggled to get the bites lined up today, but with 13 Tons returned it was always going to be tuff to get onto the leader board. Still there is always the next match.

Did
you fish this match and I've missed out (or messed up!) some of the details?
