Phil 'Madd' Young - Ton Up Baits
Elsewhere
Again, fish to be had from most methods. Paste fishing getting better as the day gets older
John Lees
(Ton Up Baits)
142lb Peg 27
Top of the frame in the Wednesday Evening Open at Rolfslake was Ton Up Baits backed matchman John Lees.
Drawn on Peg 27 on the Car Park Bank, John fished paste close for a quick 142lb in the short 3.5 match. A poplar win for one of the lake regulars off the back of some other good wins for the Swindon based matchmen.
Two other pegs on the Car Park Bank made up the rest of the frame with Phil 'Madd' Young (TUB) fishing Peg 24 (128lb 8oz) and Gary Thorpe (TUB) Peg 25 (119lb 4oz) both anglers fished short and used both paste and luncheon meat hook baits over 4mm pellet feed.
The story of the evening was not the winning weight - nor any of the framing weights, without a doubt the top story was the MONSTER Chub of 7lb 15oz produced from Peg 14 for lucky matchman Colin Manning. What a fish.
