Quick
Sorry for the late posting of the results but I was taken
very suddenly drunk whilst watching football!
Tony
Taylor (Anchor)
Notwithstanding
the high winds witnessed yesterday in the Saturday Match,
the NE Wind that pushed poles round today was exceptional.
Rolf explained as "One moment the guy was fishing Peg
14, the next second he was fishing Peg 15!"
Although
the leave bare trees on the Car Park bank offer little in
way of a wind break at the moment, it was that 'little' bit
that seemed to make the difference in the presentation for
Anchor backed angler Tony Taylor. Tony took around 16 fish
for his winning haul of 73lb 12oz from Peg 25 and headed a
field where anyone in the Top 10 could have mounted a serious
challenge for top spot.
Bob
Johnson (Rolfslake)
The
strongest challenge came for Peg 33 where Rolfslake angler
Bob Johnson was fishing hard to the edge and at one stage
looked as if he had done enough to win the match. As it stood
only the scales could separate the two anglers as Bob's return
bottomed out at 73lb.
.
Elsewhere
Chirs
Davies Peg 24 also challenged for the top spot and
he too was disappointed as the scales stopped at 67lb 12oz.
Again, a single fish was the difference.
A
Nice 20lb of Silvers for the ever popular Trevor Price. Congratulations
to Trevor on his new addition to the Price Clan - another
student for the TUB stables I guess?

2nd Bob Johnson peg 33 73lb12oz
