Kevin Arathoon didn't top the frame, but did his 259lb from Peg 19 deserve a higher placing?

Fishing well on most pegs. Paste still the bait.
John Bennett
(Swindon)
303lb Peg 34
John can't seem to go wrong at he draw bag at the moment with Peg 34 added to his recent run of decent pegs. However, John has been converting the good draws with an equally impressive run of double tons. Today, John added a treble ton to his track record.
Fishing a standard 2 lines for Peg 34, John set about plundering the Carp on Paste hook baits fished towards the lilies and the second line tight to the bank. Both line produced a number of good carp as John continued to prove he is the man in form at the moment at Rolfslake.
Again, the Swindon Anglers dominated the results with all the top 3 places and not one angler under 250lb (Phil Powell 288lb and Steve Liston 262lb did the pools damage) .
Other than the obvious top match angling skills, the key to the success seems to be the ability to draw good pegs !
Highlight of the Day.
For me two other weights stand out above the rest - other than John's 303lb - Kev's return of 250lb+ from Peg 19 is exceptional for the Peg and Gary's 195lb from Peg 14 are both worthy of mention. Gary produced a near 200lb bag from a peg that has proven to be hard work over the last few months.
Steve Liston
Swindon
Continued his run of big weights AGAIN!
Matt Nutt
Prestwood & District
Matt's 175lb was only good enough for 8th place in the Sunday match.
Andy Bright
Andy lands a good Carp.
Gary Thorpe
Ton Up Baits
195lb from Peg 14 is the best from the peg for a while. (I'd have broken the lake record from that peg today! hey Gary?)
John Lees
Ton Up Baits
John is well overdue a massive weight. Needs to find his draw bag hand. Maybe he could John to draw for him?
Tony West
Hounslow/Banstead
His 103lb return was only good enough for joint 12th.
