Phil caught most of 285lb winning weight from tight to his right under a small bush. With fish to mid doubles a large weight was always on the card. Phil Presented a Paste hook bait and loose fed a generous amount of 4mm loose offering for the waiting fish.
Peg 13 held the lake record for some time, if it continues to show form such as this, I am sure it will hold the lake record once again. Watch this space?
Kevin Arathoon
Ton Up Baits
Peg 4 253lb 8oz
Kevin took most of his fish by presenting a bait directly in front at about 5m on the paste. Later on he fished against the bank to boost his weight, but had to chop and change to rest the peg or let the fish settle after the unavoidable foul hooked fish.
Elsewhere
Paste is the order of the day. Although, fishing shallow seems to be getting overlooked. Spraying pellet may produce a huge weight for those giving it 5hrs - beware; ignore paste at your own peril on noted pegs!
Skip McCabe
Harefield
Following his personal best 7lb 12oz Chub from the lake last week, he took a new PB match record today with an excellent 184lb.
Colin Wedgbrow
Slapheads
158lb from Peg 1 for Colin in the Sunday Open.
Kevin Arathoon
Cokeheads
Kevin, like Colin above, found plenty of fish in the corner of the small lake with a belting 250lb+ which fell just short of a match win for the Cokeheads matchman.
Tony Yianni
Hounslow
The ever popular Tony from the Hounslow stable took a bag of 131lb but found himself outside the top 10!
Steve Liston
Swindon
Continued his run of big weights with 171lb that was only good enough for 7th..
Did
you fish this match and I've missed out (or messed up!) some of the details?
