REVIEW

Lazy Sunday Afternoon?

Perry Stone pushed the Rolfslake match record with a NetBusting 353-08lb - an extra 100lb would have been nice as Rolf could have taken a well earned rest from the Saturday doubles! Rolf believes that a big 400 or even 500lb may fall to the right angler, peg and day combination - as Perry highlighted today and Gary demonstrated yesterday in a 2 hour mad dash.

Perry (Hounslow Angling) fished Peg 40 with floating hook baits as Carp competed for his pellet loose feed.   A good number of carp continue to cruise around the lake and any angler that can tempt them in for a feed has enjoyed good sport this weekend.   In total the lake produced 16 weights over 100lb, 4 over 200lb and 1 over 300lb. With also a good number of carp still spawning, the weights will continue to get better as July unfolds.

Incidentally,  Perry recorded the 2nd highest weight in a Rolfslake Open to date.   With the Carp getting bigger and bigger I'm sure the Hall of Fame page will be constantly changing this year.   Lets hope Rolfslake can top the Brittish Record by the end of the summer?

As a point of admin. Rolf would like to remind anglers that no more than 100lb of fish should be put in any one net and that nets should be graded by the size of the Carp (see Rules for more info), but moreover, this means that if you think you are on for 400lb plus remember that you'll need 5 nets!!! Don't forget to bring suitable nets and dip them all.
