Peter 'Golden B*lls' Wedgebrow wins from Peg 8. Peg 8 carried on its good form, as did Peter Wedgebrow, who took just short of 200lb in a hectic 5 hours fishing. Peter (Slapheads) found plenty of fish tight over in the far side grass and got his head down whilst fishing pellet over pellet. I guess falling just short of the 200lb barrier was more than made up by drawing the golden peg - again. On peg 34 Richard Brewer (Greenman) fished an unconventional line for the peg to take 178-08. Richard fished just a power top 2 out! Again fishing pellet over pellet the Greenman sponsored angler enjoyed a good days sport on a day where 140lb plus was required to make the top 5. Yesterday afternoons match returned 3 weights over 200lb and 7 over 100!!! results will follow in mid-week as it was too late for Rolf to get the full results from the match organiser. Rolf remains up-beat at the prospect of an Angler passing the 400lb barrier - if only for a rest on Saturday evenenings.
