REVIEW |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Clear skies and a heavy over-night frost dropped water temperature to 44 Deg F. The frost wiped out any chance of repeating last weekends ton-up bags. To add to the frustration of most anglers, Carp cruised around on top refusing to take baits whilst remaining highly visible. Rolf is confident if overnight frosts can be avoided the Carp will feed well and 200lb plus catches will be back on the weigh sheets. Despite the bright sunshine, a cool Easterly breeze kept both the temperatures and weights down. Drawn on Peg 24, J Weedon (Sensas Image) fished long pole at 14m and presented his bait 'on the deck' to take a match winning 70-04-0 of Pellet & Sweetcorn caught Carp. The runners up spot was contested by most of the top eight. The spot eventually went to S Roback (Maidenhead Baits) who sat on Peg 33 with his back to the winner and concentrated in returning 57-08-0 of Pellet tempted fish. Enough for the runners-up spot. “Book Early for Next Weekend - Most places already taken”
