REVIEW |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Peg 14 had won the previous weekends matches and was well fancied in the draw bag, however with Pegs 15 and 16 drawn as the Golden Pegs any of the 3 would be good. It was M Fryer (Hacklebridge) that drew Peg 14, lake/frame regular Chris Davies (Prestwood & District) on Peg 15 and K Stratton on Golden Peg 16. On their day, all three pegs are more than capable of winning the match. It was M Fryer (Hacklebridge) that contested the early pace and continued to catch to make it 3 wins in 3 for Peg 14 with a return totaling 76-04-0 of sweetcorn caught fish. This is the first year Rolf has allowed Corn on the venue for winter and it has dominated all match returns in recent matches.
