REVIEW

Yet again a winters' night rewarded the early bird with a quick Ice breaking session!! Anglers spent the first part of this Saturday morning clearing the ice from Rolfslake. Yet again a sterling effort from all and the match was on.   However, it was the broken ice that accounted for some unfishable periods during the first 3 hours of the match.

Peg 14 had won the previous weekends matches and was well fancied in the draw bag, however with Pegs 15 and 16 drawn as the Golden Pegs any of the 3 would be good. It was M Fryer (Hacklebridge) that drew Peg 14, lake/frame regular Chris Davies (Prestwood & District) on Peg 15 and K Stratton on Golden Peg 16.  On their day, all three pegs are more than capable of winning the match.

It was M Fryer (Hacklebridge) that contested the early pace and continued to catch to make it 3 wins in 3 for Peg 14 with a return totaling 76-04-0 of sweetcorn caught fish. This is the first year Rolf has allowed Corn on the venue for winter and it has dominated all match returns in recent matches.
