- A strong N/E Wind has pushed the water temperatures down very
quickly. As such, fishing this weekend has been hard. Plenty of
fish taken on Pellet and Corn but those that took a slowly, slowly
approach did better than others. |
Tony
Yianni (Hounslow Angling). With a bitter north east wind
the place not to be is peg 21. However, if the wind is up enough
and you have enough warm clothing on, the fishing can make up for
the frozen fingers. Although, not as wrapped up as he may have liked
Tony Yianni (Hounslow Angling) did find a few fish to be had at
10m on Pellet and Corn baits over pellet offerings. Tony had failed
to catch close in and resorted to the longer line quite early in
the match. With a run of chunky carp to double figures the Hounslow
backed angler notched up a good win with 95-00, a good weight on
a hard day.
John
Bennett (Swindon) Fishing an 8m line John Bennet (Swindon
Angling) fished a 'tight a tidy' line and kept the peg topped up
with regular feeding and took 74lb on Pellet and Sweetcorn hookbaits.
With Rolf making new gravel bars last month, it seems to have taken
the anglers a little longer to find them than the carp!
Russell
Alexander, (Surviton Angling), waited til the 4th hour
to really get going. With a run of fish in the 4th and last hour
he took 3rd spot with a creditable 70lb 12oz.
