Dave
Wightman (Simons 2000) There is little difference to peg
19 to the naked eye, but Rolf would have you know otherwise. Last
month he spend a little time adding a new gravel bar and has hinted
that a line around the 8-9m mark at Peg 19 would be a good place
to start looking for it! As such, and following a few pointers from
Lake regular Trevor Price, Dave Wightman concentrated on a line
about 7m out from peg 19 and switched between pellet, corn and meat
hook baits over pellet offering for a match winning haul of 113lb
12oz. With a cold wind pushing into this corner of the lake the
odd fish made up for the battering given by the wind.
Chirs
Davies (Prestwood and District) A short line a just 6m
was to prove a ton plus success for the Prestwood and District backed
angler Chirs Davies. Fishing mostly pellet baits over a constant
stream of offerings was the framing formula for the lake regular.
On a day where most anglers struggled to get two bites in a row
( A bite was good on some pegs!) the Ton plus return was a warming
welcome.
