REVIEW

Back to Back Saturday wins for Chris Davis

Rolfslake Match Fishing Carp Winner

Winner Chris Davis

As of now Silver Fish and Carp will be allowed, Silver fish must be in a third net with no carp. £20 All-In (Golden Peg/Silver Fish & Carp/ & Pegging Fee).

Chris Davis (Ton Up Baits)    Fishing 14m on Peg 15 with sweetcorn over pellet baits, the Ton up Baits backed anger had a fish on before the angler in the next peg could get any feed in. Winner of last Saturdays match too, Chris never looked back as sport was consist ant throughout the 5 hours. He eventually put 153lb 8oz on the scales for another Saturday win at Rolfslake.

Les Williams (Team Slippery) -  Christening a new 16m pole, Les Williams kept a little bit of the pole behind him whilst fishing at 15m on Peg 18. This proved to be a good ploy as the Team Slippery angler took 102lb 4oz for runners up spot. Like most of the anglers today, Les fished sweetcorn and Pellet baits over potted pellet fished hard on the deck.

Elsewhere. A good number of fish showing all round the lake, however, considering the mild weather the weights were down on what was expected. (We did have a lot of cold rain last night go into the lake.) Top bait remains Sweetcorn as it seems to be putting more than its fare share of fish into the nets.

Expect weights to increase as mild weather continues into the next week. Looking at the forecast for mid week we may see temperatures into 17deg but more rain as well.
