Robin
Flowers (Maidenhead Baits) Having caught a few tight against
the bank, Robin switched to fishing just a few meters from his keepnet
with an instant response. From here onwards every time he put his
paste bait into the swim the float disappeared and a carp was on.
Some 377lb 12oz later Robin found himself just a few carp short
of setting a new British Record, something Rolf would be so please
to hold at the lake.
John
Lees (Oxford MG) Fresh from his win on Saturday, and armed
with a new ball of Paste! drawn on Peg 32 John took fish at 7m over
pellet for a cracking 277lb; but still got battered off the next
peg!
Elsewhere
- With Temperatures well into the mid twenties the carp fed well
and most anglers enjoyed the normal good sport. Paste continues
to be the bait of the moment. Large lumps seem to be more visible
and get a quicker response than a pellet or a piece of corn.
