REVIEW

Drennan Superleage - Rolfslake 2003

Lake regular Kevin Arathoon (Coke Heads) made the best use of his 'local' knowledge in the Drennan Super League Match. Drawn on Peg 40 Kevin fished on the deck in front of the vacant Peg 39. Fishing 'Expander' pellet baits over pellet proved to be too irresistible for a catch of just less than 250lb.

Peter Coxhead, ISIS, also made good a decent draw on Peg 8.   Peter fished a conventional approach for the peg by fishing just under the overhanging grass on the far bank.

Stan Roback took third place with another good 'Ton' weight. Stan was drawn on the ever improving Peg 4 and fished out into the lake and tight against the bank with his pellet hook baits. Again, Stan fished up in the water for most of the match.

With carp cruising around in the very hot conditions, others found the going a little harder. Overall, the lake fished OK as weights plummeted from the dizzy heights of yesterdays Saturday Special. It seems that a few fish continue to spawn.
