| LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON. It was a father son one/two on the Rolfslake Saturday Match. P Harpin (father) on Peg 8 that took the honours ahead of son D Harpin (Both A4 Oxford MG) fishing Peg 23. With fathers day just a week away, the icing on the 158-08 winning cake was made much sweeter by the winning Peg 8 was also one of the Golden Pegs!! 'Dad' fished towards the bouys from the off. He took a run of decent fish from this swim prior to a switch directly infront and tight to the far bank. Again the peg produced consistant sport on Pellet hook baits. Runner-up D Harpin on peg 23 fished on the Deck for most of his 100-08 return. With fish still in a spawining mood the weights remained within the average bracket. Rolf reported that he expects the recent spell of spawning to finish in the coming week, and big weights will follow. About half of the fish taken today were caught up in the water - a low pecentage for this time of the year. Click Hot Pegz to review the latest Peg leader board (Golden Pegs 8, 25, 27, 28) Golden Pegs will remain at 4 Book Early for the Next Weekend - Once again Very Few Pegs remaining” |
