REVIEW |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
For the 4th match running Peg 14 proved unbeatable. With the water temperature up 4 degrees on last week most anglers had expected to 'bag-up.' However, to the surprise of everyone, bites were hard to come by and weights returned were lower than last week-end. M Simpson (Oxford Purple) made very few errors for his 59-00-0 catch from the Peg 14; when a peg becomes this hot you can be "dammed if do & doubled dammed if you don't." Most anglers quickly forget that you still have to catch the fish to win!!. D Hawkins (Dorchester) put 56-00-0 to the scales just 3 pegs away (17) which kept most guessing to the outcome. Both anglers fished sweetcorn over small qualities of potted Pellet on the long pole. With no frost forecast for tonight, the lake is expected to fish better in the morning. Who wants Peg 14???
