REVIEW

Venue expert Gary Thorpe (Ton Up Baits) got the year off to a flying start, and blew away any cobwebs from the night before, when he drew winter 'hot spot' Peg 33. Gary enjoyed a good run of carp alternating hookbaits of Sweetcorn or Pellet over Pellet in his winning 135-8-0. Drawn on the other end of the 'Lilly Pads' corner on Peg 34 was C Davies (Prestwood & Dist) who returned 81-0-0 of mostly Sweetcorn tempted carp for second spot. The lake was once again flooded and most anglers found bites hard to tempt. Notably, a few fish were found on the Hut/Car Park bank and these made up the lesser places. If this rain keeps up maybe Rolf will convert the hut into a large boat for his regulars to go in 'Two by Two?'
